This weekend, Elizabeth City is buzzing with excitement as the Bassmaster Elite Series returns for the first time since 1981. From April 10–13, top anglers will compete on the scenic Pasquotank River and Albemarle Sound, with daily takeoffs at 7 a.m. and weigh-ins at 3 p.m. at Waterfront Park (508 S. Water Street). Complementing the fishing action, the "Hooked on the Harbor" festival offers a family-friendly atmosphere on Saturday and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Attendees can look forward to live music, food trucks, craft vendors, and engaging activities.
